I'm now posting photos from my favorite event in Costa Rica. Horseback riding. We left the hotel at 8:30 a.m. and there was a lot of cloud cover. I actually didn’t think we’d even be able to see the volcano. However, I was wrong. The clouds started blowing away in a hurry and we were in for almost three hours of rain forest and volcano with the horses doing all the walking.
Wow. It has been a while since my last post. Because I got married! That is right, I've taken the plunge. And so far, it is totally awesome.
While on our honeymoon, I had the opportunity to see and take pictures of several beautiful places. I'm going to lead off with Sunset Point. We stayed in Los Sueños, Costa Rica, for several days. One night we went down and watched the sunset from an area that they call Sunset Point and it was an incredible light show. Every five minutes the sky was turning different colors. :)
I've heard from a couple of people that they want to see more dog shots. So you've got to give the people what they want. Here are some new shots of E & W (Emmi and Winston).
Four years ago to the day, Darin and I went hang gliding in Rio. It was an awesome experience. We just took a cab out to the beach and solicited some guys to take us hang gliding. They drove us up into the forest to the launch site. Here they taught us how to run in sync, and jump into the air while there partner assembled the glider. As we are doing all this, they ask if I want to pay extra for pictures to be taken, and of course I agree. However, I made one fatal flaw. I just took the pictures to get developed last week! It appears that film just can't hold out for four years. Only two of the photos made it out.
Enjoy!
You can tell I'm totally a geek. This is only my fifth post and already I'm announcing site upgrades. Oh well!
So really, the upgrade is simple. The "All Galleries" button at the top now takes you into all of the galleries that I've put up on the site. Hopefully, I'll be able to put up all of my pictures at some point. However, some of you (i.e. my Mom and Shelly) have already seen my pictures. If that's the case, no worries. Every time I upload a new, never before seen album, I'll post a blog entry just like this. So if you subscribe to the RSS feed down at the bottom of the page, you'll get notified every time I put something up.
I've come to find that Winston is a stretch timer. If I spend more then say, thirty minutes in front of the computer, he can't stand it. :) Lately he has decided to crawl underneath my desk as a way to get attention. The rest of the pictures are Winston at the park, because he finally did get me away from my desk. :)
My good buddy Dan was in Austin two weeks ago to play a show and asked me to take a couple of photos for him. He has a website that he is trying to fill out. You all should check it out and I personally suggest downloading his cover of the Killers "Human". www.danquinnband.com
Now, if you take a look, there should be a photo that I took of the Iron Cactus Event Calendar. For the month of January there was 1.) New Years 2.) Trivia Night and 3.) DQB!
As always, click on the gallery and if it doesn't have a back button (some of them don't) just click back on your browser.
For those of you out there that like Tennessee Football, Tennessee Sports, Braves Baseball, Titan Football, or just general Southeastern sports, my buddy Will has an excellent blog. He has been linked to be ESPN and the Knoxville paper. So check out Will's blog for all your football needs. If you've got time, you might want to dig around the site he is one, it is supposed to have a ton of great info and articles.
Hey Everyone! While our New Year's Resolutions are probably fading along with January, I thought I'd post the pics I took at New Year! As always, click the picture for the gallery!
